Upgrade your 288/312mm brakes to 345mm
Stock brakes on the MK5 are adequate for daily driven applications, but once the vehicles performance is upgraded the brakes become a weak point. Our ECS MK5 R32 upgrade kit takes your 288/312mm rotors to the massive R32 345mm brake setup.
The brakes on a MK5 R32 are larger, which help your braking performance in many ways. The 345mm rotors are cross drilled and slotted, which help dissipate heat and fight brake fade, and their increased size increase caliper clamping force. The larger MK5 R32 rotors absorb heat better than stock, keeping surface temperatures lower and eliminating brake fade under extreme braking forces. Cross drilling and slotting takes hot gases and brake dust and propels it away from the pads, helping to keep them cooled down and in constant contact with the rotor. In addition to the larger brakes, our ECS stainless lines increase pedal stiffness by replacing flimsy rubber lines.
