Owners of 2008-2010 E60 535i/535xi BMW models will find out that the plastic intake chargepipe going to the throttle body is a weak point that will eventually fail, even on fully stock, unmodified cars. The chargepipe can fail in several locations: the connection to the throttle body, the necks of the boost diverter valves, and along the plastic tube of the chargepipe itself. Any failure at these points will result in loss of boost and performance and may put the car into a limp mode.
This aluminum chargepipe is the fix for all of those issues and comes with a lifetime warranty so you will never have to buy another chargepipe again. Evolution Racewerks are experts in the turbo tuning industry and they have designed this pipe to be a direct replacement for the factory piece and as a performance upgrade as well. Three finishes are offered: mirror polished, brushed aluminum silver, and black hardcoat anodize.
This pipe is set up to use an aftermarket Blow-Off Valve instead of the factory Diverter Valves (which are prone to failure also). A BOV is available separately or you can source your own (HKS or TiAL only).

The ER 535i N54 Chargepipe installs easily thanks to factory-type connectors and precise CNC machining. Other charge pipes use silicone hoses and hose clamps which are common in the industry but do not seal tight enough on the BMW N54 engine. The original retaining clip can be re-used from the throttle-body connection but we recommend a new one.
For tuners, this pipe can be provided with one or two 1/8" NPT threaded bungs. This provides an excellent injection port for methanol, nitrous, or to use for actual vacuum readings. Plugs are provided when bungs are not being used. The pipe is also available without NPT bungs for a fully factory appearance.
An aftermarket BOV is a more reliable solution than the factory style diverter valves. The factory plastic diverter valves (DV) will get weak and will not be able to hold boost on the N54, leading to boost leaks or other failures. Aftermarket DV are available that do a better job of holding boost but a true BOV may be the best solution. Select your BOV style from the product options. The BOV is sold separately. This chargepipe is for 2008-2010 535i and 535xi models. The factory pipe is 2-piece and this will replace the upper portion, past the rubber connector.
