ECS Tuning is proud to release it's dogbone mount insert for the Mk5 platform. The ECS dogbone mount insert works with the OEM rubber bushing to provide a better more rigid connection between the transmission mount and subframe. Less movement in the system will result in smoother shifts and less engine movement under heavy acceleration. Made of a 88A Torque durometer polyurethane. Kit includes dogbone insert retaining washer centering washer and new stretch bolt.
The VW engine mounts were designed as a soft mount flexible mount, to provide a very comfortable drive. It's drawback was the large amount of engine movement it allowed under torque load and on hard acceleration. Engine movement of the decreases stability under high performance driving conditions and gear selection. We guarantee you will feel the difference when using these mounts.
