Gasket Kit
The APR Bi-Pipe Kit eliminates any and all reliability issues of the 2.7T throttle body boot. This cast aluminum pieces features recirculation valve ports that are enlarged, which helps in reducing boost spikes during gearshifts and improves turbo response after the shift. The Bi-Pipe bolts to the throttle body and is sealed by an O-ring.
ECS recommends updating your DVs with either the Forge 007 or OEM 710N while installing the Bi-Pipe.
With Forge DVs
The diverter valve (DV) is a pathway for boost when it is not being used by your engine. Whenever the throttle body is closed, like during shifts or deceleration, the boost needs an escape route. If the boost cannot escape during these times, it can back up and cause shocks to the turbo. A Blow Off Valve (BOV) performs the same task as a DV, but instead of returning the boosted air back into the intake, it vents it the the atmosphere.

One of the most important maintenance items is an engine timing belt. Modern high powered, small displacement motors are of a high valve lift, high compression design (known as collision) that can lead to serious engine damage if any part of the timing belt system fails. When replacing the timing belt it is highly recommended that you replace the belt tensioner, roller and water pump. More often than not, it is not the timing belt that fails, but one of the bearing driven accessories that seize causing the belt to fail. ECS recommends servicing the timing system on a performance tuned vehicle every 60k miles.
