Each part is designed and tested in-house at ECS Tuning to ensure quality, reliability, and compatibility with your application.

At the heart of our kit are massive ECS 18Z 6-piston front brake calipers, which provide exceptional clamping force for consistent, fade-free braking. These calipers work in tandem with large 2-piece floating rotors, which reduce stress on the rotor hat while allowing the friction surface to expand independently under heat. This floating design improves braking leverage and ensures that your rotors maintain optimal performance even under heavy, repeated stops on the street or track. Additionally, our proprietary rotors are cross-drilled and slotted, giving you the perfect balance of durability, performance, and cooling. The slotted surfaces provide improved bite and consistent stopping power, while the cross-drilled pattern allows heat and gases generated during braking to escape, reducing the risk of fade and extending rotor life. Complementing the rotors are ECS EP24 "Enthusiast Performance" brake pads, formulated to deliver aggressive stopping power, smooth engagement, and reliable performance in all conditions.

Stainless steel brake lines are included to improve pedal feel and eliminate expansion under pressure, giving you a more direct and responsive braking experience. Brake pad wear sensor bypass plugs are also included for seamless plug-and-play installation, ensuring your new kit does not trigger any malfunction indicators.

• ECS 2-Piece Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
  • Constructed from heavy-duty 6061 aluminum, our lightweight, hard-anodized rotor hat design is both durable and corrosion-resistant.
  • Our two-piece design utilizes FC-30 cast iron—favored for brake rotors due to its ability to absorb and dissipate large amounts of heat.
  • The final product is heat-treated, which reduces the tendency for rotor cracking by reducing internal rotor stresses.
  • ECS two-piece rotors feature curved, directional veins that accelerate air away from the rotor at a higher velocity, leading to consistent, rapid cooling.
  • Non-friction ring surfaces, including internal vents, are painted to resist salt and other corrosives. Ground-breaking surfaces ensure rings run parallel, and pads bed easily.
• ECS EP24 "Enthusiast Performance" Brake Pad Set
  • Strong stopping power - Increased coefficient of friction offers satisfying stopping power when cold (a necessity for a street pad!) and even more G-force-inducing power when they warm up. With cold and warm friction comparable to Hawk HPS (and higher than many other street pads) the stopping experience with the EP24 pad is impressive for street-driven vehicles on streetable tires.
  • Positive initial bite - Race pads have the reputation of acting like an on/off switch, which is a no-go for a pad for a street application. The EP24 offers OE-level initial bite for low-stress braking in stop-and-go situations.
  • Reasonable dust - Race pads utilize a high metallic composition. Pads that use high amounts of metal not only dust terribly, but also will bake onto wheels with high temperatures and are a bear to clean. This is not the case with these performance street pads. Now using these pads on most of our shop cars, we’ve found over time that dust is comparable to factory pads in most applications (with greatly improved braking performance).
  • Quiet braking - It’s not a race pad, so it shouldn’t squeal like one. While not as quiet as our ceramic DD23 pad, you’ll still be able to drive your spouse to dinner.
  • Long life - This should be an obvious one. Even in a performance pad, your daily driver pads should last and last, so that was key in selecting our ideal compound. This compound wears slower and is kinder to rotors than two of the top competitors.

Our Stage 5 Front Big Brake Kit was designed, engineered, tested, and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio, facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology, including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long-term product testing.
