Due to low-quality steel construction, rusted transmission fluid pans are commonplace on any DQ250-equipped Volkswagen. After years of exposure to dirt, water, and road salt, the thin metal that keeps the DSG fluid inside the transmission will begin to leak due to porosity caused by corrosion. Additionally, due to its flimsy stamped steel construction, the factory pan is likely to bend upon removal, requiring complete replacement as a result. Avoid these potentially catastrophic issues by replacing your transmission pan with a high-quality stainless steel version from ECS Tuning!
