The E92 335i came out in 2006 and marked a change in BMW engine design. Although a six-cylinder powerplant remained at its heart, twin turbochargers were added to bump the output to 302hp and 300lb.ft of torque. Two different versions were offered with earlier pre-LCI vehicles being powered by the N54, while later models were powered by the N55. Power got to the ground through either a six-speed manual or six-speed ZF automatic. The 335xi denotes the AWD model, which sent power to all four wheels, for better year-round driving in your twin-turbocharged BMW.
