MKIV 1.8T Coil Pack Options
The coil system in your engine has a big job to do. It takes the power from the battery and juices it up to the power numbers needed for the spark plugs. While this might seem like a singular duty, if these packs cease up, you will experience multiple issues. Faulty coil components may cause a slight or not so slight misfire, bad fuel economy, loss in power, and in some rare cases loss of braking performance and power steering problems. To restore engine power, replace those worn coil packs and while you're at it, replace the other components as well to ensure optimum performance.
These products are for 1.8T models only. If you are replacing any aspect of your ignition system, it's best to replace all serviceable components. By doing so, your ignition system will work in better harmony, freeing up hidden horsepower and raising your fuel economy.
