Your modern Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC diesel is a finely tuned powerhouse, relying on a complex balance of air and fuel to deliver massive torque while keeping emissions incredibly clean. To maintain this perfect balance under all driving conditions, your Engine Control Unit (ECU) relies on continuous, lightning-fast feedback from the Oxygen (O2) Sensor.
Positioned directly in the exhaust stream, this critical sensor measures the exact proportion of oxygen exiting the combustion chamber. The ECU uses this real-time telemetry to constantly modify the vehicle's air-fuel ratio. Over tens of thousands of miles, the sensor element becomes fouled by carbon, diesel soot, and extreme exhaust heat, causing its response time to slow down. When an O2 sensor becomes sluggish or fails entirely, your engine computer loses its precision tuning ability—killing your fuel economy, robbing power, and potentially damaging your expensive diesel emissions components over time.
Common Signs of a Sluggish or Failing Oxygen Sensor:
Illuminated Check Engine Light: The most common symptom. The ECU will detect a slow response rate, heater circuit failure, or voltage irregularity and trigger the CEL along with specific emissions fault codes.
Plummeting Fuel Economy: Because the ECU defaults to a "safe" rich mixture (injecting more fuel than necessary) when it loses accurate O2 data, you will notice a severe drop in miles per gallon.
Poor Driveability: Without precise air-fuel adjustments, your engine may idle roughly, surge, or hesitate under heavy acceleration.
Failed Emissions Test: A failing O2 sensor will almost always cause your vehicle to fail a state smog or emissions inspection due to elevated tailpipe pollutants.

This specific Genuine Mercedes-Benz sensor is a direct fit for the Front position on 2012-2013 S350 BlueTEC 4Matic sedans (3.0L V6) and the Rear position on the 2013 GLK250 BlueTEC 4Matic (2.1L L4).
Tech/Fitment Tip: You may notice this oxygen sensor is frequently cross-referenced in Mercedes-Benz catalogs as an "Exhaust Gas Temperature" (EGT) sensor. Because of this, it does not use a standard 22mm (7/8") O2 socket. You will need a specialized 17mm slotted socket to clear the wire harness. We highly recommend using the Schwaben 14mm/17mm Slotted Line Socket (ECS Part #: ES#4419184). Because this sensor lives in the hottest part of your exhaust, spray the base heavily with penetrating oil and let it soak before removal to prevent stripping the threads

All you need is your order number and email address.
New/Unused Product Returns
ECS Tuning will accept returns for unused products within 90 days of the ship date for a refund to the original payment method used. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs and fees. If selecting to use a prepaid shipping label, the shipping cost will be deducted from the total refunded amount. All new/unused products must be new, unused and must be in the original packaging, including labeling, manuals, hardware, etc. Special order parts are non-refundable.
In the event that we find an error on our website or on behalf of an ECS Tuning Representative, we will provide a return shipping label from the original delivery location.
Refused Packages
Any domestic orders that are returned to ECS Tuning as refused by receiver or non-deliverable will be subject to a return handling fee and will be processed as a return in compliance with our standard return policy, including a 15% restocking fee.
Any international orders that are refused at the time of delivery will be subject to carrier abandonment of the package, at which time the ordered products would be discarded by the carrier. The customer will not be refunded for the value of the order and the discarded products are no longer retrievable.

To get started, simply log into your ECS Tuning account, Click the "View Orders" button on the My Account home page and select the order that you wish to make a return on to begin. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our Customer Service Team for assistance!
Please note: Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used on the order or to an in store credit, respective to the type of return that is made as well as any pre-existing arrangements with an ECS Tuning Customer Service Representative. In the event that multiple forms of payment were used, we will refund the value to an in store credit. In the event that a return label is provided, these charges may be deducted from the total refund you receive.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable and the buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. ECS Tuning will not accept COD deliveries.
All in store credit balances will expire after one year from the original purchase date.
