This is a factory BMW steering wheel from the M Performance accessory catalog. It's a direct replacement upgrade over the stock M2 wheel but with some added features that the serious driving enthusiast will appreciate. The most obvious change is the alcantara fabric at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions. The alcantara fabric is grippier than leather, especially when wearing leather driving gloves. A blue band marks the 12 o'clock position for easy straight-ahead reference. The wheel rim is thicker and has been contoured and sculpted around the human hand for the optimum grip.
