Your path from stock to savage

STAGE 1 — START HERE

Add up to +70 hp with nothing more than a Stage 1 ECU Tune, engineered to reprogram your stock engine for maximum gains on 91 or 93 octane. Pair with an intake for improved airflow and aggressive turbo sound. If your GTI has a DSG transmission, adding the iE DSG Tune unlocks full engine torque, enables the 7000 RPM limit, and transforms how the car shifts, accelerates, and delivers power for a complete drivetrain performance upgrade.

STAGE 2 — TURN IT UP

To safely maximize the stock turbo, you’ll need an intake, intercooler, and downpipe. With this hardware, reflashing to Stage 2 boosts power to 394 hp. Increased airflow and cooling keep power consistent while acceleration pulls harder across the powerband. Pair with a catback exhaust to fully enjoy adjustable crackles.

There are no "Stages" with IE DSG software. Your purchase is all-inclusive, meaning all features for any hardware level or ECU stage are included from the outset. You will never face extra charges to upgrade your DSG tune when moving from Stage 1 to Stage 2 or beyond.

TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENTS

The MQB 2.0 TSI DSG is designed from the factory to keep engine RPM extremely low in Drive mode, which often feels like the engine is struggling. IE has completely reworked this mapping, creating a more responsive experience that is much quicker to deliver power when you need it. By running the IE DSG tune alongside a matching IE ECU tune (developed side-by-side on an in-house dynamometer), you unlock the full potential of the Gen 3 TSI engine and transmission.
