Ethanol fuels are included and unlock the most performance potential from our ECU tunes. Ethanol contains tons of oxygen, burns cooler, and has a high resistance to knock. This provides more horsepower and torque than running conventional gasoline and is much less expensive than race gas. Although full E85 is recommended for the highest power output, safeguards are included within the E85 ECU calibrations to adjust for ethanol as low as E60.

Commonly used in roll racing, Brake Boosting allows you to build extra boost by applying brake pressure while accelerating. Release the brake pressure for a "rolling launch" or extra surge of power.

The factory ECU calibration includes many compromises removed by your IE Tune. One of the most problematic is the stock cylinder deactivation which attempts to increase fuel economy by only running 4 cylinders when cruising. This causes rough shift, loss of power, and is believed to cause early failures of motor mounts. Cylinder deactivation is completely turned off by default.

Air Intake System Due to the larger turbo inlet of the RS7 turbos, both iE S6/S7 and RS7 air intake systems will require additional parts for installation, as outlined below.
For existing iE S6/S7 Air Intake Systems (IEINCN3), the airbox can be adapted using aftermarket RS7 turbo inlet adapter hose couplers -such as ECS Tuning part number 4348853, available with ECS Tuning RS7 turbo inlets Part Number 4460456.
For iE RS7 Air Intake Systems (IEINCX1), the intake will require two sections of 2.5" ID X 6" long generic silicone couplers. To achieve a cleaner factory look, consider sourcing two of the larger factory C7 RS7 inlet hose couplers instead. These are available under OE Part Number 079129740H (X2) to complete the installation.

RS7 TURBO TRANSMISSION TUNE

RS7 turbos surpasses the factory-set S6/S7 transmission torque limit and requires a matching transmission control unit (TCU) tune calibration. Our corresponding RS7 Turbo TCU tune synchronizes the transmission characteristics to match the larger turbo profiles, incorporating optimized shift points. As you progress through each gear, the DSG will shift at specific RPMs tailored to optimize the RS7 turbo powerband for the fastest acceleration on the road, track, or drag strip. These optimized shift points are active in both Drive mode and Sport Mode. Additionally, you will retain complete manual control of your shift points up to 6800RPM in manual/paddle shift mode.

RS7 Turbo TCU Tune is a free upgrade for existing Stage 1 TCU tune owners.
