When it comes down to price for performance, the Morimoto HID bulbs are the best option available, often priced at less than half of the cost of Philips and Osram bulbs. Their high quality construction start with perfectly aligned 100% Philips quartz glass that houses a capsule from APL-USA. Using high quality halide salts, these bulbs produce nearly the same intensity as the industry benchmark Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. These main components allow Morimoto to match their overall quality with the likes of Philips, Osram Sylvania, and Hella top of the line bulbs. Additionally, their Austrian-sourced Plansee electrodes help keep the bulbs running brighter for longer, with similar intensity to Philips bulbs after 200 hours of continuous use, something unheard of in the aftermarket community.

Making sure these bulbs keep shining brightly, we have inlcuded the 35w and 50w Morimoto XB ballasts. Countless hours of R&D to design to mitigate failures and misfires while only consuming half the power as many standard ballasts and producing warm-up times that or twice as quick. Plus, they look a lot better mounted up in your engine bay than most other options, especially with the carbon fiber mounting bracket!

To connect everything together, Morimoto has designed their own wiring harnesses, and better yet, they are designed for specific uses! The more simple Standalone Canbus harness is recommended for Canbus systems, which have small amounts power fluctuation, and have a bulb-out function that warns you when there is an issue with you light bulbs. Without this harness, most detection systems don't know how to react to with HID bulbs and will turn on any warning lights or signals to let you know. This harness has an in-line resistor pack to mimic halogen bulb characteristics and Japanese capacitors to jump start the ballasts and keep them running smoothly.

For vehicles without this system, we recommend the HD Relay wiring harness instead to prevent any operational issues. Just as the previous wiring harness, this harness delivers power to the ballasts/bulbs to ensure proper operation and is long enough to connect any type of vehicle: car, truck, or van! Included in this harness is heavy gauge wiring, 2 relays, one for each side, an fuse that connects to the power input line, a grounding line, input line (from cars original input), and 2 output lines that go to the ballasts.

We recommend purchasing the Capacitor Link if you choose the HD Relay harness to prevent any potential flickering. Many modern vehicles are staring to use pulsed lighting for things like DRL's or as a way to deter lighting modifications. If this is the case, you will notice relay "buzzing" and flickering headlights. It takes the constant on/off signals sent from the car and translates them into a simple smooth on signal.
