This Redline MT-90 fluid is equal to the viscosity of a 70W90 fluid. Used to lubricate a wide base of cars including Volkswagen, Audi, and others using a 70W90 gear lubricant such as GL-1 GL-3 and GL-4 applications. Redline MT-90 takes that protection a step further and offers better fluid life, and better synchronizer coefficient of friction. This can cure notchy and stiff shifter movement in cold climate conditions or aged transmissions.

Flushing and replacing your manual transmission fluid is one way to ensure that components wear properly to avoid costly problems down the road. Your owner's manual will specify intervals for flushing and refill.

Red Line MTL may be used in transmissions which recommend 75W, 80W, or 85W GL-4 gear oils, or SAE 30 or 5W/10W30 motor oils. If a 90W GL-4 or SAE 40, 10W40, or 15W40 is required, MT-90 may be used. If the transmission or transaxle requires an SAE 90 GL-5 gear oil, then Red Line 75W90NS or 75W140NS Gear Oil may be used.
