The venerable M50 was one of the first engines to receive this update, which boasts greater overall efficiency through increased ignition control and spark energy. Unfortunately, over two decades later, the ignition coils used on the M50, M52, S50, and S52 engines are antiquated at best. Thankfully, the team of BMW enthusiasts at Turner Motorsport realized the need for an ignition system upgrade and set out to modernize the M5X ignition system with performance ignition coils pulled from the B58 parts bin.
