At Unitronic, development begins with setting the objectives; performance, efficiency, aesthetics and quality. Operations start with 3D scanning the engine bays, exhaust tunnels and OEM components with it’s in-house Creaform 3D scanner. Once 3D scan data has been collected and processed, Unitronic Hardware Engineers then interact with the 3D models to identify fitment constraints, mounting locations, other component locations, etc. to ensure the final product fits perfectly within the “envelope”, while achieving the objectives and intent of the product.
One key area of development for Unitronic Engineers was the catalytic converter on these Performance Downpipes. While working closely with GESi through several iterations of their G-Sport Emissions Systems Catalytic Converters over the years, our goal once again was to ensure this product would satisfy our compliance demands, while fulfilling Unitronic's performance related goals. The team quickly opted for dual GESi 6" UHOX converters for these Performance Downpipes, which met the requirements for the C8 4.0TFSI, while being rated for a massive 1200HP.
Unitronic also utilized OEM-style thermal isolation / heat shielding to not only protect the engine bay from radiant heat, but also ensure catalyst temperature is reached and maintained for optimal efficiency and function. The large 6" catalytic converters provide exceptional flow and greatly enhances the thunderous sound of the turbocharged 4.0TFSI engine. The smooth post-cat stainless steel transitions lead into dual 4.5" T304 stainless steel tubing, terminating at the factory 3-bolt mid-pipe flanges to ensure a seamless direct bolt-on fitment. When we say it's a bolt-on fitment, we stand behind our words, unlike some of our competition.
As with all Unitronic products, these Performance Downpipes have gone through months of rigorous testing in a wide range of conditions on the road, track and dyno in order to ensure they meet our high standards for reliability and function. As a result, they are backed by Unitronic's limited lifetime warranty, which protects your hard-earned dollars spent and shows that we stand behind our products. Warranty Registration is REQUIRED for all products integrating GESi Catalyst(s) HERE.
In order to take full advantage of these all-new Performance Downpipes, Unitronic Stage 2 ECU Software is now available for the C8 RS 6 and RS 7. With testing and validations completed, power outputs are increased by up to +219HP / +166LB-FT with Unitronic Stage 2 93octane/98ron Performance Software for a maximum of 819HP / 760LB-FT. This software upgrade is entirely compatible with our UniCONNECT+ cable, empowering Clients to tune their vehicles directly through the OBD-2 port within minutes, from the comfort of their own home or garage.
When developing these Stage 2 ECU calibrations, Unitronic Engineers carefully modeled, studied and analyzed all factory components while identifying restrictions and limitations present with OEM hardware. As a result, Stage 2 Performance Software power output is also made possible with the help of Unitronic's Carbon Fiber Intake System and Turbo Inlets and CSF High-Performance Intercooler System which are both required in addition to the Performance Downpipes to achieve advertised Stage 2 power figures and assure long-term vehicle reliability.

All you need is your order number and email address.
New/Unused Product Returns
ECS Tuning will accept returns for unused products within 90 days of the ship date for a refund to the original payment method used. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs and fees. If selecting to use a prepaid shipping label, the shipping cost will be deducted from the total refunded amount. All new/unused products must be new, unused and must be in the original packaging, including labeling, manuals, hardware, etc. Special order parts are non-refundable.
In the event that we find an error on our website or on behalf of an ECS Tuning Representative, we will provide a return shipping label from the original delivery location.
Refused Packages
Any domestic orders that are returned to ECS Tuning as refused by receiver or non-deliverable will be subject to a return handling fee and will be processed as a return in compliance with our standard return policy, including a 15% restocking fee.
Any international orders that are refused at the time of delivery will be subject to carrier abandonment of the package, at which time the ordered products would be discarded by the carrier. The customer will not be refunded for the value of the order and the discarded products are no longer retrievable.

Please note: Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used on the order or to an in store credit, respective to the type of return that is made as well as any pre-existing arrangements with an ECS Tuning Customer Service Representative. In the event that multiple forms of payment were used, we will refund the value to an in store credit. In the event that a return label is provided, these charges may be deducted from the total refund you receive.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable and the buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. ECS Tuning will not accept COD deliveries.
All in store credit balances will expire after one year from the original purchase date.
