Unitronic® Performance ECU Software is now available for the MY24+ Volkswagen® Atlas® and Atlas® Cross Sport® equipped with the 2.0TSI® EVO4 engine.* With testing and validations completed, power output has been increased by up to +60HP / +90LB-FT with Unitronic Stage 1+ (93octane/98ron) Performance Software for a maximum of 335HP / 383LB-FT.

Building off of its extensive product offerings for other 2.0TSI EVO4 vehicles such as the MK8 GTI, Golf R and 8Y S3, Unitronic Software Engineers have been eager to recalibrate the SIMOS 19.6 ECU found in the Atlas to help develop more power and take this midsize crossover to the next level. Through optimized boost regulation, ignition timing, lambda, camshaft timing and much more, Calibrators were able to unlock 335HP and even more impressively 383LB-FT with factory hardware.

This drastic power and torque increase not only helps get the vehicle up to speed quicker, but it also does-so without compromising drivability or fuel efficiency in similar driving conditions. Since the Atlas is often used a family vehicle first, Unitronic developed Performance Software optimized for 87, 91, and 93-octane fuel to best suit each customer. Depending on how the vehicle is being driven, customers can switch between different files from home in a matter of minutes via UniCONNECT+. This Performance Software suite also offers clear benefits when towing, as the Atlas is rated for 5000 lbs when properly equipped.

Equipped with a Dragy GPS Performance Meter and clever Suction Mount from Unitronic, the team quickly road-tested the Atlas, provided by AM Tuning, and the results did not disappoint. As predicted, huge acceleration improvements were observed on the Atlas which is widely rated for 7.3-7.5 second 0-60MPH times according to numerous independent reviewers. Thanks to Unitronic Stage 1+ Performance Software, the team comfortably reduced the 3-row Atlas' 0-60MPH time to 5.8 seconds, effectively shaving off more than 1.5 seconds from stock. Once tuned, this transformative upgrade is sure to impress Atlas customers given the vehicle's two liter displacement and large, family SUV nature.

In other 2.0TSI EVO4 applications, hardware upgrades such as intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and more provide a substantial benefit to performance and function, especially when combined with ECU tuning. Unitronic's Software Calibrators have found the limits of the factory components and its Hardware Engineers have analyzed the vehicle's constraints but our team needs to hear from you to determine if the market demands such hardware upgrades.
