The M54 engine has one area that is more common than the others when it comes to breaking, causing a vacuum leak that will make your idle erratic. The F-connector, located on the intake boot is made of plastic and known for breaking. The ECS aluminum F-connector make this the last time you will have to worry about it breaking.
