ECS Billet Aluminum BMW M54 F-Connector BMW E39/E46/Z3
When it comes to working on an aged engine we always seem to find that when a vacuum line is moved it often breaks. This is expected after years of extreme heat and cooling, making the plastic and rubber lines very brittle.
The M54 engine has one area that is more common than the others when it comes to breaking, causing a vacuum leak that will make your idle erratic. The F-connector, located on the intake boot is made of plastic and known for breaking.
The ECS aluminum F-connector make this the last time you will have to worry about it breaking.
