MK7 & MK7.5 ECS Functional Aero Exterior Upgrades

The ECS Tuning MK7 & MK7.5 GTI / R Functional Aerodynamic exterior upgrades combine function, form and aesthetics to provide an increase in downforce to the frontend to maximize cornering grip. To design our ECS Aero we started by 3D scanning all MK7 platforms. Then a 3D model of the full car was created in CAD utilizing our scan data. To further develop and tune our diffuser we utilized CFD analysis to find the best possible balance between downforce and drag, while minimizing flow separation. This results in more consistent splitter performance across a wide range of conditions, ride heights and suspension setups.
