A faulty door latch can cause all kinds of locking and lighting issues. If features such as window roll down, central locking, and alarm are not functioning as they should and you have checked everything else, it's time to replace the door latch. If you're beginning to notice oil drips on the ground, a burning oil smell or smoke from underneath the hood, a leaking valve cover gasket or camshaft tensioner gasket may be the culprit. A common gasket to leak on VAG engines, the valve cover gasket is nothing to ignore. Don't forget to always replace the camshaft tensioner gasket at the same time as these are also prone to leaking. A small amount of RTV silicone is not included, but recommended in several transitional areas of the cylinder head valve cover rail.

A failed air injection pump is more than a noisy annoyance. Bad pumps store a fault code and turn on your check engine light, a sure way to fail your local emissions test. Dying pumps don't go quietly. As they fail, they make a loud buzzing noise, audible shortly after a cold engine start up; continuing for a minute or so after that. Our secondary air pump can put your air injection system back to normal, eliminate all that racket, and turn off that pesky dash light.

To secure shocks and struts to their mounts, the retaining nut must be torqued to its proper specification using a torque wrench. Strut nut sockets allow for the use of an allen wrench to hold the damper shaft while utilizing your torque wrench on the socket to achieve proper torque. An improper torque value may result in premature mount failure - or worse. Some aftermarket strut nut sizes differ from what was originally found on the vehicle.
