The iE Valved Catback for your 2022+ VW MK8 Golf R delivers a primal scream on demand. Kick exhaust drone to the curb with their proprietary DroneTrap technology while seamless integration of the exhaust valving gives you factory control to switch between “subtle” or “rowdy” modes. Deep rumbles at low revs and mighty roars at high RPMs are topped off with quad, 4” slash-cut tips for bonus style points. All from a simple bolt-on upgrade. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?

DRONETRAP ADVANTAGE
iE's advanced DroneTrap technology takes away the buzz-killing drone leaving only the sweet song of your people. DroneTrap captures the pulse waves that make up the engine's exhaust note. Here, a mathematically tuned resonator draws these waves in and an internal port resonates the waves against each other. Annoying waves that cause drones are canceled. Only the good stuff remains—a full, rich audacious call of the wild.
4" QUAD SLASH-CUT TIPS
With quad oversized 4" exhaust tips, your Golf R will look fast even when it’s standing still. These slash-cut tips feature a motorsport-inspired brushed finish and adjustable depth to dial your aggressive looks up or down.
BUILT TO LAST
Sound may be the main feature of the Catback Exhaust, but durability and reliability play a big part, too. This Catback Exhaust is made from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel to resist corrosion with hand-TIG-welded joints, plus several structural details for added strength and integrity. The stamped, multi-wall muffler prevents warping. Reinforced hangers keep mountings secure. Strength-boosting bridged piping distributes weight and reduces stress and vibration. Wide-width stretch clamps keep connections tight and leak-free.
FACTORY SOUND CONTROL
Control your exhaust volume through the factory drive select controls from your MMI system. Select comfort to drive around your suburb like a civilized neighbor, or trigger Sport/Dynamic mode to release that boosted roar.
EXHAUST VALVES
A valved Catback Exhaust lets you choose the way you greet the world. Comfort/Normal mode keeps the valves closed so exhaust is routed through the center-mounted muffler for a more tame sound. Sport/Dynamic mode keeps the valves open to bypass the muffler through twin pipes for something gone feral.
ADVANCED R&D

INSTALLATION
No permanent mods or hassle to deal with on this one. Installing your new iE Catback Exhaust kit is straightforward. You’ll need a few basic tools. An auto lift is not necessary, but will make your life a lot easier (well, your installation, anyway).

All you need is your order number and email address.
New/Unused Product Returns
ECS Tuning will accept returns for unused products within 90 days of the ship date for a refund to the original payment method used. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs and fees. If selecting to use a prepaid shipping label, the shipping cost will be deducted from the total refunded amount. All new/unused products must be new, unused and must be in the original packaging, including labeling, manuals, hardware, etc. Special order parts are non-refundable.
In the event that we find an error on our website or on behalf of an ECS Tuning Representative, we will provide a return shipping label from the original delivery location.
Refused Packages
Any domestic orders that are returned to ECS Tuning as refused by receiver or non-deliverable will be subject to a return handling fee and will be processed as a return in compliance with our standard return policy, including a 15% restocking fee.
Any international orders that are refused at the time of delivery will be subject to carrier abandonment of the package, at which time the ordered products would be discarded by the carrier. The customer will not be refunded for the value of the order and the discarded products are no longer retrievable.

To get started, simply log into your ECS Tuning account, Click the "View Orders" button on the My Account home page and select the order that you wish to make a return on to begin. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our Customer Service Team for assistance!
Please note: Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used on the order or to an in store credit, respective to the type of return that is made as well as any pre-existing arrangements with an ECS Tuning Customer Service Representative. In the event that multiple forms of payment were used, we will refund the value to an in store credit. In the event that a return label is provided, these charges may be deducted from the total refund you receive.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable and the buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. ECS Tuning will not accept COD deliveries.
All in store credit balances will expire after one year from the original purchase date.
