If you're beginning to notice oil drips on the ground, a burning oil smell or smoke from underneath the hood, a leaking valve cover gasket or camshaft tensioner gasket may be the culprit. A common gasket to leak on Audi 30V engines, the valve cover gasket is nothing to ignore. Don't forget to always replace the camshaft tensioner gasket at the same time as these are also prone to leaking. ECS assembled and Genuine Audi Valve Cover Gasket Sets are available depending on how thorough your valve cover job will be.

Keeping the oil inside your engine is paramount to engine health and longevity. If there is a leak that you're not aware of, your oil can dip to dangerous levels. The valve cover, chain tensioner, and camshaft seals are a common place for leaks. Years of extreme temperatures degrade the gaskets and cause failure. Replace yours to keep your engine leak free.
