Diverter valves live in a tough neighborhood. By definition, they limit turbo boost, and most eventually fail due to a pin-hole or tear in the valve diaphragm. The 710N Valve is a diaphragm-based, factory upgrade for a lot of applications. The breather, also commonly called the PCV or oil separator, allows the crankcase to expel air without losing any oil. This system is designed to give gases a way to escape in a controlled manner from the crankcase. Overtime, contamination may cause reduced airflow and cracks can occur in the housing. If your car is experiencing a loss in boost pressure or a decrease in performance with rough idle, the PCV assembly is a likely culprit.
