Turner designed their short shifter for all drivers. The weekend warriors, the trackday monsters, and even the daily drivers. They wanted to make something that made sense for any BMW enthusiast. Their rally lever extension allows you to keep your hands close to the steering wheel through shifts, in efforts to quicken shifts and reaction times on the track. Who doesn't like insurance against engine failure? N52/N54/N55/S55 BMW owners commonly experience a shredded serpentine belt, which can get sucked in through the crank seal on the front of the engine. Oil and coolant leaks are often the culprit, causing the serpentine belt to slip past the crank pulley, getting sucked in behind the harmonic balancer, moving its way past the crank seal, and ultimately ending up in the oil pan. Once belt fragments are in the pan, tiny pieces can block the oil pickup, get caught in the timing chain, or end up in your valve cover. Any and all of these scenarios cause expensive damage at best and engine failure at worst. Our engineers designed a cost-effective and reliable crank seal protection plate for N52/N54/N55/S55 BMW engines that protects the front crank seal from a shredded serpentine belt getting sucked into the engine. We recommend these as inexpensive insurance for all N52, N54, N55 and S55 owners.

Precisely balanced turbochargers are a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving high balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using a single parts machine, then components are assembled, and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using an in house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial numbered balance test result document. Note: Not for sale or use in the state of California on any pollution-controlled vehicle as per the California Air Resources Board.

The factory BMW charge pipes are prone to cracking, as they are made from brittle plastic. Here at ECS, we sell several brands of replacement charge pipes that are typically made from cast aluminum. We recommend upgrading to hard charge pipes even on stock forced induction vehicles to avoid cracking - we've seen cracking occur on high mileage cars running stock power just as frequently as we do with high horsepower builds.

The most common N55 intake utilizes a short plastic tube and oversized cone filter; it is your job to have better taste than the common N55 owner. This carbon intake changes the whole image of the N55 engine while maintaining a flow of cool air and added induction noise. With a dual inlet design the engine bay retains its functionality while adding a second inlet to provide your engine with improved air flow and sound. To ensure the engine gets the coolest air possible the second inlet is located in the "sweet spot" on the cold side of the engine for the lowest intake air temps and most air flow possible. The cone filter features a bellmouth velocity stack design to reduce turbulence and maximize flow that creates the satisfying flutter after letting of the throttle. The E9X plastic belly pan is a constant point of impact for potholes, speedbumps, inclines, and road debris.
