Plastic coolant connections are consistently subjected to heat shock, corrosive substances, & chemical degradation. Considering the importance of adequate engine cooling, coolant fitting upgrades are always a wise investment. ECS has developed a cast-aluminum replacement for the fragile plastic coolant split pipe fitted to the VW MK4 Jetta. This highly failure-prone fitting can be responsible for a sudden, major coolant leak – over-heating engine internals and causing catastrophic damage.
