The coil system in your engine has a big job to do. It takes the power from the battery and juices it up to the power numbers needed for the spark plugs. While this might seem like a singular duty, if these packs cease up, you will experience multiple issues. Faulty coil components may cause a slight or not so slight misfire, bad fuel economy, loss in power, and in some rare cases loss of braking performance and power steering problems.
