ECS News
For the E39 generation 528i, BMW chose to use a cost-cutting plastic power steering pulley, mounting it close to the road at the front of the engine. This arrangement has proven to be troublesome for many enthusiasts, many of whom have experienced premature wear or even failure of this part. ECS engineers have developed a permanent and elegant solution to this design oversight with the CNC-machined Aluminum Power Steering Pulley. The black-anodized piece is a direct replacement for the cheap factory part, allowing for the use of the factory belt and hardware.

The Mishimoto kit includes all parts required for installation, including stainless steel lines, AN fittings, & oil filter housing adapters
BMW Z3 Mishimoto X-Line Performance Aluminum Radiator
It's no secret that the cooling systems on most BMW's are ticking time bombs; the weakness is largely due to the plastic build materials used on several components. Mishimoto is a very well known name in the performance community, due mainly to their high quality direct-fit aluminum radiators. The thicker design allows for 30% better cooling than stock, while the pressurized cooling system means less stress on other cooling components. Additionally, a complete aluminum design adds strength to the stock plastic areas known for cracking.

BMW E39 528i Cooling System Refresh Kits
The engines in the E39 5 series are known for only one weakness, the cooling system. The ultimate assurance that you wont be left on the side of the road with an over heated engine is to refresh all the major components at the first sign of any failure. In most cases these engines will make it most of the life of the vehicle, meaning by this time there will be more wear and tare on these components than they were guaranteed. ECS created Cooling System Refresh Kits with varying levels of components for this very reason.

BMW E39 540i Valve Cover Gaskets
If you're beginning to notice oil drips on the ground, a burning oil smell or smoke from underneath the hood, a leaking valve cover gasket may be the culprit. A common leaky gasket on BMW engines, the valve cover gasket is nothing to ignore. Don't forget to always replace the camshaft tensioner gasket at the same time as these are also prone to leaking. A small amount of RTV silicone is not included, but recommended in several transitional areas of the cylinder head valve cover rail.

BMW Z3/Z4 M54 DISA Valve
The Z3 and Z4 have proven to be very solid vehicles with exceptional styling, but there is one issue for the M54 2.5L engine, the DISA valve. This valve controls the path of air into the intake manifold, thats why the most common sign of failure is having idle issues. When you have issues idling then high fuel milage and lack of performance are usually part of the problem. If your BMW experiences these symptoms, don't wait to fix it. In some cases, parts of the DISA--including a metal spreader pin--can be sucked into your engine, causing serious engine damage.
BMW E36 M3 ECS Water Pump Pulley
If you've ever replaced a broken or cracked water pump pulley and wondered why the engineers at BMW didn't make it out of something more durable, you're not the only one. BMW E83 X3 2.5i DISA Valve
The symptoms are annoying. The costs can be painful. DISA valves control intake manifold runner length to improve engine performance at different rpm. When they fail, the DISA valve bangs around in its housing, making a rattling noise accompanied by rough idle and off-idle hesitation. If your BMW experiences these symptoms, don't wait to fix it. In some cases, parts of the DISA--including a metal spreader pin--can be sucked into your engine, causing serious engine damage.

DIY Change Your Own Brake Fluid
Massive rotors, multiple-piston brakes, and advanced pads are glamorous, eye-catching upgrades to your vehicle. But experienced enthusiasts know that all that stopping power relies on adequately bled brake lines. Your brake fluid is incompressible, like a metal; but air is compressible, so ridding your lines of this gas is imperative for fully realized braking power and response. ECS has an array of solutions to tighten up your braking system, including a Power Brake Bleeder, multiple synthetic Brake Fluid options, and a premium Schwaben Brake Bleeder Wrench.
BMW E39 M5 Performance Brake Service Kits
Stuffing new brake pads in your BMW doesn't really qualify as a brake job, especially on high-milers and vehicles driven where the roads are salted in winter. Pads and rotors don't just wear out. Many suffer from rust scale accumulations, warping, and surface pitting that reduce braking efficiency--and extend stopping distances far beyond what BMW intended. Now you can install pads, rotors, and hardware at the same time to restore driving pleasure, and braking performance appropriate for a true driving machine.

The N54 straight-six engine has earned several awards for engineering excellence; partly through novel turbocharging and advanced variable valve timing, but crucially, through second-generation piezo direct injection. This fuel injection technology relies upon the expansion of crystalline materials under the influence of electricity to inject fuel to exceedingly close specifications for superior control over spray characteristics. Genuine OEM Injector Replacement Kits are now available for your BMW E9x 335xi, including 6 injectors, seals, and decoupling rings.
