Installation is simple and utilizes set screws so you can maintain your factory shifter release mechanism. Instead of pressing the button on the factory knob you lift up on the collar on the bottom of the knob to put the vehicle into gear. For installation you simply to remove your shift surround and remove the old shift knob then use the supplied pieces in the kit to maintain your shift release mechanism functionality.
