The VW 2022+ MK8 GTI / Golf R platform is a fantastic vehicle in stock form. Featuring all the latest high tech features, an ergonomically sound interior, sport-tuned suspension and a modified EA888 Evo4 engine. Unfortunately there were some cost-cutting techniques as compared to the outgoing MK7 platform. One of these cost-saving techniques were at the demise of the pneumatic hood strut, making hood opening a manual chore and leaving the car to feel "cheap." Our Research and Development team saw an opportunity to help make the MK8 platform more user-friendly with an easy-to-install Hood Strut Conversion Kit. Utilizing high-quality corrosion resistant hardware and a custom in-house engineered hood strut, install takes only minutes and there is no loss in hood opening height as compared to the factory prop rod, maintaining under-hood working room.

Precisely balanced turbochargers are a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving high balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using a single parts machine, then components are assembled, and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using an in house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial numbered balance test result document. In order to get the most out of your BMW M3/M4, these new control arms provide roll center, camber, and track width adjustment to dial in your alignment for optimal handling! Additionally, the ball joint angle has been corrected to allow for full articulation. Stainless Steel spacers are provided to correct roll center for lowered vehicles. The use of FK Rod Ends and High Misalignment Spherical Bearings eliminates the flex and binding found in the OEM control arms while allowing smooth articulation.

At Turner Motorsport, all of the Carbon Fiber Intake Systems are top-of-the-line custom-engineered products that are developed in house by Turner. The G8X M3/M4 Intakes are no different. Turner Carbon Fiber Intakes start with a 3D scan of the factory intake and engine bay. Engineers use these 3D images of the chassis to design the intake in SolidWorks modeling software. Using a Flow Bench, the Intake is then airflow tested against the factory intake, to ensure optimal airflow improvement against stock. The final product is a beautiful and functional Carbon Fiber Intake, CAD designed for perfect integration with the OEM inlet ducting and stock mounting locations and proven to flow better than factory.

The stock throttle body is smaller than the supercharger inlet creating a massive restriction and directly responsible for power loss. ECS Tuning's in-house designed and engineered Performance Throttle Body Upgrade will do the trick. Designed with a smooth flow path in mind, we start off with a wire reinforced silicone inlet that resists collapse and is stepped in the internal diameter to create a smooth transition to the throttle body. We then went with a high quality OEM Mopar 80mm throttle body that is 10mm larger and has 30% more cross sectional area than OE. The final step is the cast aluminum adapter housing with port matched internal diameters to provide the smoothest flow path possible. On our test car equipped with IE dual pulley 93 octane 80mm throttle body tune, ECS exhaust (valves open, stock catalytic converters), ECS supercharger heat exchanger, ECS Kohlfaser Luft Technik Intake, ECS supercharger and crank pulley, we saw 415 HP and 385 TQ at the WHEELS. There are a lot of reasons to remove the windshield cowl & cabin filter housing from your BMW. It makes servicing easier & overall improves the look of your engine bay.
