Carbon fiber with a clear high gloss finish. Snap the old ones out, by removing the factory glass mirror first. This requires the ES#517779 Schwaben trim tool, using the side mirror adjustment switch, to turn all the way outward. Then pry and the mirror pops out. This gives you access to the mirror front caps which when prying all tabs come out.
