NM Engineering introduces the complete intake system for the turbocharged model MINI Cooper S. NMs intake features an integrated larger turbo inlet tube. The stainless brackets, hardwares and silicone couplings were all designed, engineered and manufactured to fit and perform. The 'Open-Air-Box' system gives you the abundance and unrestricted 360 of air source compared to OEM's sealed air box with flat filter and tube fed air source. During R&D, we installed temperature probes around the engine compartment and the gauge showed the inside temperature matched the ambient after vehicle sped past 20 mph. And by logging the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor also showed that open-air-box intake generated higher volume (gr/sec) of air going through the sensor. So when we had to choose between (a) cooler air at all speed with limited air source, vs. (b) cooler air at 20~ mph. with unlimited air source, the choice was pretty obvious.

Brake pad wear sensors are a convenient part of the braking system, notifying the driver of when the material on the brake pads are getting low and need to be serviced. Unfortunately it is common in custom or upgraded braking systems that the pad wear sensor is non-existent or does not mate properly with the connector on your vehicle, leaving you with a brake pad wear warning every time you start your vehicle. Our engineers developed a direct-fit Brake Pad Wear Sensor Bypass to alleviate this issue. This sensor bypass will trick the vehicle's electronics into thinking that the brake pads have adequate pad material to keep the dashboard warning from appearing. No more unnecessary warnings when installing a big brake kit or your own custom setup. This bypass is a plug-and-play component that requires no modifications so you can revert back to your OEM setup if necessary.

The N5X family of engines marked the start of a new era for BMW. The all-new aluminum block powerplants featured a host of technical upgrades, aiding in power output, reliability, and performance. Among these technological advances is an external electronic water pump, which removed load from the engine's accessory drive and allowed for advanced pulse-width-modulated (PWM) control. From factory, the N52's electronic water pump is limited to a measly 200W output and strong enough for daily driving, but lacking in performance applications. Recognizing this shortcoming, our engineers set out to create a high-flow water pump upgrade that doesn't break the bank. Our high-quality adapter wiring harness and bracket allow you to install a 400W N54 water pump without any modification, an effortless, yet effective upgrade that doubles the output of the factory water pump! By increasing coolant flow capacity, the 400W pump improves heat extraction from the cylinder head and engine block during high-load operation. This added thermal headroom is particularly beneficial for modified engines, sustained aggressive driving, track use, or operation in elevated ambient temperatures where the factory pump can operate near its limits. Improved circulation helps maintain more stable coolant temperatures and reduces the risk of localized hot spots.
