New Gen1 TSI Fuel Rail
The EA888 Gen1 TSI engine has a well-documented history of intake manifold issues. Failures of the inlet runner control flaps, linkage malfunctions, and poor-quality plastic construction contribute to engine fault codes and negatively impact drivability. Since the engine's iteration in 2008, Volkswagen has implemented multiple intake manifold revisions to address these issues. Among many changes, the latest update (06J133201BH) introduces a notable, somewhat unusual alteration: revised fuel rail mounting geometry. Vehicles equipped with older fuel rail revisions (06J133317J or 06J133317M) must upgrade to the newest fuel rail revision (06J133317AB) to ensure proper fitment and optimal functionality. Unfortunately, the updated fuel rail carries a substantial cost, presenting a significant barrier for enthusiasts attempting to retrofit the latest intake manifold. With this issue in mind, our engineers set out to improve upon the existing fuel rail design, creating a cost-effective, all-in-one update and upgrade! Manufactured from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, this precision-machined rail is guaranteed to outlast its OEM counterpart. What's more, our exclusive design features ported fuel injector and fuel feed passages, ensuring optimal fuel flow up to and into each fuel injector.

Rocker arms wear in conjunction with the camshafts, meaning the two must be replaced simultaneously. Aftermarket and performance camshaft options (Schrick, CAT-Cams, etc.) are typically ground from softer blanks and, as a result, cannot be used with factory rocker arms. We tested our performance cam followers with aftermarket camshafts to validate compatibility, ensuring smooth, reliable, and safe operation under demanding conditions.

To surpass the flow rate of the OE water pump, our engineers focused on refining the pump's impeller. By optimizing the blade angle, shape, curvature, and width, they were able to extract a sizeable increase in flow over the factory design. For even greater efficiency, the impeller is CNC-machined from lightweight billet aluminum. This provides a drastic reduction in weight compared to cast aluminum alternatives and grants a further boost in flow. Using advanced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations, the final design delivered an average 14% increase in flow compared to stock! However, with longevity in mind, our engineers didn't stop there. To match the refinement of the impeller, billet aluminum construction was also chosen for the construction of the pump housing. A custom, heavy-duty Viton o-ring was sourced for the pump housing sealing surface, providing increased sealing power, fluid and temperature resistance, as well as durability. A double-row bearing was designed to exceed OEM pump service life, ensuring that this water pump will outlast the competition.

Like many Volkswagens, manual transmission-equipped 1.8T Gen3 vehicles came from the factory with dual-mass flywheels. While this design delivers excellent comfort, smooth gear changes, and minimal vibration, it also adds significant weight and tipping the scales at a hefty 23 lbs. For performance-oriented enthusiasts, the dual-mass flywheel is a hindrance, dulling engine response and overall driving engagement. With this flaw in mind, we set out to design a lightweight, performance-minded single-mass flywheel for 5-speed, 1.8T Gen3-equipped MK6 Jettas, MK7 Golfs, and B7 Passats! Our precision-engineered upgrade weighs in at only 16 lbs.�a substantial weight reduction of 30%! This reduction translates to a dramatic improvement in throttle response and engine pep, allowing you to extract even more driving pleasure from your VW. While many single-mass flywheels introduce intrusive NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness), our extensive testing confirms minimal to no increase in noise when installed, delivering upon the performance benefits listed above without sacrificing comfort. Each flywheel is precision-machined from heat-treated 4140 chromoly steel and hardened to HRC 28 and 32 to ensure toughness, dimensional stability under heat, and consistent wear across the entire friction surface. A black zinc coating adds corrosion resistance to all non-friction surfaces, and precise dynamic balancing exceeds OEM G16 spec (175 g-mm). Derek's B5 A4 4.2L V8 Swap
I purchased this car off our co-worker, Evan, after pestering him 5 times for it, with the full intent of doing a 4.2L belt driven V8 swap out of a 2000 S8. Since purchasing, the swap is complete along with replacement of the entire B5 S4 front & rear subframes and suspension. I rounded out the build with an 18Z BBK in the front and B5/B7 S4 BBK in the rear. To keep that V8 cool I took a MK4 Radiator and flipped it with some persuasion with a tig welder along with an E-Fan conversion. Up next PAINT...

My car journey started with Japanese imports, influenced by games like Need for Speed and the early 2010s stance scene. Working at BMW, VW, and Mercedes in high school and college pushed me toward European cars, with BMW standing out most. This summer I bought my first Euro, a 1996 BMW 328i Convertible. I wanted a fun summer cruiser to complement my Evo, and the E36 was perfect: timeless styling, space for friends, and the reliable M52 motor. It currently sits on restored BBS RC090s and air ride with recent upgrades including new brake lines, cooling system, and control arms. It even made the trip from Ohio to Gatlinburg for Slammedenuff. Short-term drive and enjoy it. With maybe Dinan upgrades in the future. It joins my 2015 BMW 328D wagon and 2015 Mitsubishi Evo Final Edition

Tali's E30 M50 Swap
As a certified E30 hater since I was young I was always resistant to own BMWs in general. After I reluctantly took up an offer to drive an E30 just to try it out, my mind immediately changed. 80's cars in general have a distinct classic look and the BMW E30 is the epitome of that. After selling my M Roadster to fund the purchase of this E30 I got to work. This '88 325 super eta was slow, and automatic, albeit virtually rust free. Only 2 weeks after completing the manual swap a bad fuel pump led me to find coolant in the oil meaning it was time for more work. Already having an M50 bottom end I got for free the answer was obvious: 24v swap. The swap was completed as part of development of the Turner Motorsport 24v swap oil pan and the car has driven thousands of problem free miles since then. For me the E30 is a certified classic that is easy to work on, great looking, and fun enough to keep even the most skilled drivers hooked. Get yourself one before they have all rotted away!
